Payment
Following your pet’s initial exam, an itemized medical treatment
plan will be provided to you. The medical staff will assist you in understanding
the suggested course of care. Like the medical situation for which you
presented your pet, the cost of care is also unexpected. The reception
staff is happy to discuss CareCredit payment plans with you if finances
are a concern. Other forms of payment accepted are cash, American Express,
Discover, Mastercard, Visa, and check payments (checks cannot not be
postdated or held per the check approval service).
Payment is due in full at the time of service. In-patient services
and hospitalization require a deposit.
If your pet requires hospitalization
Capital Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center is equipped with all
medications, diagnostic and surgical equipment needed to treat your
pet’s emergency or illness. We are open 24 hours and there is
always a veterinarian and skilled technical staff on site to provide
outstanding care for any emergency. Both the referral and emergency
departments rely on a close working relationship with your regular veterinarian
to continue the care necessary to see your pet return to wellness.
Please note that we do not
offer general veterinary services for dogs and cats such as vaccines,
dental cleaning, health certificates, and most spays and neuters, as
these services are generally provided by your regular veterinarian during
their normal business hours.
Visiting your hospitalized pet
We believe visiting your pets can aid recovery and ease your mind. Please
feel free to call and inform the staff if you would like to visit your
pet. The ongoing treatment of your pet is highly important, therefore
visiting time may be limited. In certain cases visiting with your pet
may increase their stress or anxiety and ultimately prolong recovery.
In this instance visits may be discouraged.
