About Us Capital Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center was established in 1999 as a surgery only referral practice. Shortly thereafter, internal medicine services were added. In 2003, we expanded our service to include after-hours emergency care, and extended to 24-hour emergency care in 2005. We are dedicated to providing compassionate care to your pet, working in conjunction with your regular veterinarian. We are located only 10 minutes west of downtown Columbus, immediately off of I-70. Our location is very convenient to central Ohio. Our facility is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (including holidays). Emergeny Treatment/Trauma and Critical Care An emergency veterinarian and emergency staff are always available to address your pet’s urgent medical needs. No appointment is necessary for your pet’s emergency. Internal Medicine and Surgery Specialty Care Pets requiring the care of a specialist are seen on an appointment basis. Patients can be referred to either the surgery or internal medicine department from their regular veterinarian or by self-referral. We provide routine, emergency, and specialty care to avian and exotic
species. The combined skills of the avian and exotics department with
the other specialists and emergency veterinarians allow us to provide
state of the art, comprehensive care to unique species. Avian and exotic
patients requiring emergency treatment are accepted through the emergency
service at any time. Routine care or specialty care for avian and exotic
patients is by appointment. |
